From baking cookies as a child to constructing towering layered cakes for family and friends, Anand maintains a passion for all things sweet. He began preparing confections in 2006, and developed a repertoire originally inspired by the exotic flavors of Indian teas, herbs, and spices.
A professor by day at the University of California Berkeley, Anand draws upon his mad scientist sensibilities to explore the subtle and varied infusions of taste and joy in his creations.
